Fuel pays cents. The counter can pay better.

Everybody in the fuel business knows the margin is inside, not at the pump. Crypto is the highest-value transaction a forecourt store can add without stocking anything, fitting anything or giving up a single square foot.

The economics of adding crypto to a forecourt store

Fuel retail is a traffic business that makes its money on everything except the fuel. That is why the inside of a gas station has slowly filled with lottery, money orders, prepaid cards, phone top-ups and bill payments — each one a small margin on top of traffic you already paid for.

Crypto is the same play with a different scale. It costs nothing to add and needs no inventory. And it is priced as a percentage of the order, so one customer buying a few hundred dollars of Bitcoin can beat a large number of the other inside transactions combined.

It also travels well across a network. Operators running several sites get per-store logins and per-store reporting, so the product can be trialled at one location and rolled out to the ones where it works.

    Why it fits

    What makes gas stations different

Every store type in this program runs the same platform. What changes is the customer, the ticket size and the objection — so this is the part written for you rather than for everybody.

    Nothing goes on the forecourt

No canopy sign, no machine near the door, no power run and no fire-safety conversation. The service is a browser session behind the counter.

It suits your existing traffic curve

Payday afternoons and weekends are already your busiest windows. The crypto demand curve peaks in the same places.

Bigger tickets than anything else inside

Nothing else on a forecourt counter is priced as a percentage of a several-hundred-dollar order.

    Multi-site reporting comes standard

Per-store logins and per-store activity, so you can see which of your locations are actually using it.

    3. 3

      Train the counter

One session per employee. No crypto knowledge required — the order screen is shorter than a money order form.

      Go live

Logins switched on, revenue share accruing on every order your staff place.

    The arithmetic

What a single transaction is worth to the store

You keep a share of every order. Bigger order, bigger share. The examples below use 1% to 3% — your own rate is in your agreement.

Illustrative store revenue by order size at a 1% to 3% revenue share
At the counterOrder sizeStore keeps (low)Store keeps (high)
A customer cashes a check and puts part of it into Bitcoin$200$2.00$6.00
A regular buys USDT to send to family overseas$500$5.00$15.00
A customer sells crypto and takes the cash$1,000$10.00$30.00
A small business owner buys on payday, every other week$2,500$25.00$75.00
One larger order, the kind an ATM's daily cap refuses$10,000$100.00$300.00

The figures above are worked examples, not projected or guaranteed earnings. They show how the arithmetic works on a given order size at an illustrative revenue-share range. Your actual rate is set in your agent agreement, and what any individual store earns depends on its foot traffic, its neighbourhood, its hours and how many customers it serves. Anytime Capital does not promise any level of income.

    • A money order earns you cents. A wire earns a flat fee, however big it is. This does not.
    • No monthly fee. No minimum. Nothing to buy back before the first dollar is yours.
    • Your customer pays our normal published price. Your share does not change it.

Running it across a network of sites

The pattern that works for multi-site operators is to start with one or two stores that already do well on money services — the ones where money orders and bill payments move — rather than the highest-fuel-volume sites. Money services volume is a much better predictor of crypto volume than gallons are.

Once a site is working, rolling out is a training exercise rather than a deployment. There is no hardware to ship, no installer to schedule and no site survey, so the constraint is how quickly you can get staff through a session.

Reporting is per store and per employee, which matters in a network where site managers vary in how much they push a new service.

Night shift, security and what a counter service avoids

Fuel sites run late, often behind a secured window, and that shapes what services make sense after dark. A counter service requires staff involvement, so it is a daytime and evening product at most sites — which is a genuine limitation compared with a self-service kiosk.

What it avoids is the other half of the security question. There is no machine on the floor holding cash overnight, nothing to be attacked when the store is closed, and no cash-recycling box for staff to load or empty.

Sites that want overnight self-service and a staffed daytime service sometimes run both. They do not conflict, subject to whatever your placement agreement says.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Does anything need to be installed on the forecourt?

No. There is no machine, no sign requirement and no power or network work. The platform runs in a browser on a device you already have behind the counter.

Can I offer it at some sites and not others?

Yes. Locations are onboarded individually, with their own logins and reporting, so you can trial one site before extending it.

Which of my sites is most likely to work?

The ones that already move money orders, bill payments and prepaid cards. Money services volume predicts crypto volume far better than fuel volume does.

    What about overnight?

A counter service runs when staff do. If overnight self-service is important to a particular site, that is one of the clearest arguments for a kiosk there — and some operators run both.

Do I need a licence of my own?

Not to act as a serving location for Anytime Capital's platform. Anytime Capital is the registered money services business and carries the compliance programme for the activity. What applies to your specific store and state is confirmed during onboarding, and nothing here is legal advice.

How much does my store earn?

A share of each order, set in your agent agreement. Because crypto is priced as a percentage of the order rather than a flat fee, the revenue moves with the ticket. The earnings page works the arithmetic through at five order sizes.
